Group Drop — the price
falls as fans join.

A Group Drop turns a content release into a community event. Set tiered pricing, watch fans rally together, and everyone unlocks simultaneously when the Drop closes. The more fans who join, the lower the price for everyone.

How a Group Drop works — for creators

  1. Upload your content. Record or create the Clip you want to release — a milestone video, a community moment, anything worth building hype around.
  2. Set your tiers. Define price tiers and the fan-count thresholds that unlock each one. You control the floor and ceiling.
  3. Publish. Your Group Drop goes live with a countdown. Fans can see the current tier and how many more are needed to unlock the next.
  4. Earn. When the Drop closes, every buyer pays the final tier price. You keep 85% per sale, minus a 3–4% processing fee.

How a Group Drop works — for fans

  1. Discover. Find a live Group Drop on your favourite creator's profile. See the current price, current tier, and how long is left.
  2. Join. Tap Join, pay with a card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. You're in — and you've helped push the price down for everyone.
  3. Rally others. Share with friends. The more fans who join, the lower the price everyone pays — including you.
  4. Simultaneous unlock. When the Drop closes, everyone unlocks the Clip at the same moment. Download it and keep it forever.

How tier pricing works — a worked example

A creator sets five tiers for a Group Drop. As fans join, the price unlocks downward — and everyone pays the final price.

Group Drop tier pricing worked example
Tier Fans needed Price Discount
1 0+ $20.00
2 14+ $17.50 12.5%
3 33+ $15.00 25%
4 60+ $12.50 37.5%
5 100+ $10.00 50%

If 100 fans join, each pays $10. Creator earns $1,000 × 85% = $850 (before payment processing fee). Even at half the launch price, volume makes it worthwhile.

What creators use Group Drops for

Best for milestone moments and content worth rallying around.

🎵 Music

Drop a new single before it's on Spotify — let fans be the first to hear it together. The simultaneous unlock feels like a shared listening party.

🎮 Gaming

Release an epic ranked session replay or a first-look at a new title. Build pre-release hype and let your community drive the price down by spreading the word.

🎨 Art

A special edition process video, a time-lapse of a commissioned piece, or a full tutorial — Group Drops reward the fans who bring others along.

💄 Fashion & beauty

An exclusive haul video, a full get-ready-with-me, or a brand collaboration reveal — timed as a community event with a countdown your audience can rally behind.

Pricing & earnings

Creators keep 85% of every Group Drop sale, minus a 3–4% payment processing fee. Payouts on the 8th of every month.

The power of Group Drops is volume: even as the unit price falls, total revenue grows with every fan who joins. A 100-fan Group Drop at $10 earns more than a 20-fan Drop at $20.

Group Drop FAQ

What is a Group Drop on Auraclip?+
A Group Drop is a community buying event where a creator releases a Clip with tiered pricing. The more fans who join before the Drop closes, the lower the price everyone pays. All buyers unlock the Clip simultaneously when the Drop ends.
How does tier pricing work?+
Creators set multiple price tiers, each activated when a fan-count threshold is reached. For example: $20 at launch, $17.50 at 14 fans, $15 at 33 — down to $10 at 100 fans. Every buyer pays the final closing price, including early joiners.
When do I receive the Clip after joining?+
Everyone unlocks simultaneously when the Group Drop closes — either at the creator's chosen end time or when the final tier threshold is reached. That shared unlock moment is part of what makes Group Drops feel like a community event.
How much does a creator earn from a Group Drop?+
Creators keep 85% of the final sale price per fan, minus a 3–4% payment processing fee. Even as the unit price falls with each tier, total revenue grows with every fan who joins.
What if not enough fans join to reach a lower tier?+
The Drop closes at whatever tier was active when it ended. Fans who joined pay the price of that tier — no refunds or adjustments. Creators set their tiers knowing this, so Tier 1 is always a viable earning floor.
